Lucina established Lucina Troy Music to impart to others her knowledge of and passion for music.

Lucina was awarded her undergraduate Bachelor of Arts Degree in Modern Languages (French and German) from Oxford University. She worked as a lawyer in the City before pursuing her passion for music and training to be a professional classical singer at Birmingham Conservatoire, where she gained a Postgraduate Diploma in Music (Vocal Performance). She then spent time training as a singer at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. She has broad performance experience as a soloist, having sung in operas, musicals, oratorios, concerts and recitals. She has also been a member of the London Philharmonic Choir and the Oxford Bach Choir.

Lucina is an accomplished pianist and was privileged to study with John Gough, a tutor at the Royal Northern College of Music. She has experience as a concert performer, as a pianist in music theatre, and as an accompanist.

She discovered her love of teaching during her time at Birmingham Conservatoire, when she taught singing and piano, gave language coaching to singers, and was a teacher of French with the award-winning school ‘La Jolie Ronde’.

Whilst living in the Channel Islands, Lucina was a teacher at the renowned singing school ‘Musical Originals’. There she taught singing to children and adults in groups and one-to-one, often preparing them for graded examinations, but also teaching those who wanted to learn purely for enjoyment. She also taught at the prestigious Jersey Academy of Music’s summer school, where she was privileged to perform with celebrated tenor, Nicky Spence. Lucina also has experience running a choir.

Lucina's linguistic expertise means she is well-placed to assist students with a wide variety of singing repertoire in Italian, French, German and Latin. She is passionate about singing in foreign languages and is keen to encourage others to explore this treasure trove of music.
